| Resistance in Brooklyn invites you to its ANNUAL ANTI-JULY 4TH BENEFIT BARBEQUE FRIDAY, JULY 3, 2009 3
to 8 p.m. 309 Park Place, Brooklyn, New York All proceeds from this event will go to support the Puerto Rican Grand Jury Resisters. Come and hear current resisters Tania Frontera and Chris Torres and 1980s resister Sammy Sanchez. Catch up on what's been happening in this important case, COINTELPRO Redux. The grand jury cases have become more complicated, requiring the hiring of additional legal help to engage in researching, typing, and payment of court fees. And funds are needed for transportation of families from Puerto Rico. Directions: 2, 3, 4 trains to Grand Army Plaza, walk down Flatbush to Park Place and make a right (1.5 blocks), or Q Train to 7th Avenue, cross Flatbush and walk along Park Place until you get to #309.
