Richmond Jericho
Richmond Jericho is a new chapter of the National Jericho Movement, founded in the summer of 2014. As a new collective we strive to support the existing movement to free all political prisoners, and aid those still currently incarcerated. We hope to maintain a nonsectarian movement that supports revolutionary prisoners of all stripes, and other political dissidents within prison walls. We define a political prisoner as anyone imprisoned for acting on their political beliefs. While we recognize the importance as a movement to address issues of mass incarceration and the prison industrial complex as a whole, as an organization with limited capacity, we can only provide direct aid to a small subset of the prison population. That being said, we hope to build relationships and alliances with other groups working on the larger issues facing all prisoners, because we see the struggles as inherently connected. "
